Chem Sur is a Dutch chemical company that is primarily active in the oil, gas and chemicals sector. From our base in Hellevoetsluis, we work on diverse projects worldwide – but with a focus on the Netherlands. In addition, we also specialise in filtration, laboratories and supercargo.

Filtration, Laboratories and Supercargo

The Chem Sur team specialises in filtration, laboratories and supercargo. Chem Sur's experts are regularly deployed to deal with complex problems, such as contaminated tanks containing gas, oil or chemical products. With our chemical expertise in the area of filtration, we are often able to find a solution so that the contaminated load regains its value. We also provide training courses in the use of filtration equipment worldwide.

Besides that, we are regularly called in to conduct laboratory tests and we operate as supercargo or surveyor, usually during the loading and unloading of large, valuable loads of oil, gas and chemical products.

Founded by chemistry expert Jakob Berkhout

Chem Sur was founded in 2008 by chemistry expert, senior surveyor & filtration specialist Jakob Berkhout, who prior to this had been active worldwide in the field for decades. The company started out under the name ‘Chem Con' and was later renamed Chem Sur.
